ATTACCHI NELL’ AIKIDO

The founder of Šl±ska Akademia Aikido is Andrzej Firlus (4rd dan Aikido), who has practiced this art of self-defence for over 20 years. In the beginning, his teacher was sensei Roman Hoffman, presently Andrzej Firlus’s tutor is sensei Jerzy Wysocki (7th dan Aikido-today the highest level in Poland). Šl±ska Akademia Aikido rose at the beginning of ‘90s in Siemianowice Šl±skie. From the moment of uprising a new centre has been opened and currently classes are led in centres located in Siemianowice Šl±skie and Tychy. Šl±ska Akademia Aikido puts particular emphasis on educational and educative aspects during classes. It promotes development and moulding of young people’s personality, which should be devoided of aggression towards society. Ability to face daring challenges and persistent eagerness for appointed aims through hard work and systematic raising of qualifications is also very important for our academy. Šl±ska Akademia Aikido organizes summer camps for children and youths. Trainings, led by master Wysocki, are organized at least twice a year. They are an unforgettable experience for young Aikido adepts, furthermore they are a great opportunity to rise one’s skills for either experienced trainees or instructors. Sensei Andrzej Firlus co-operates with Sensei Janusz Lukaszczyk, who is the main representative of Polish MUSO JIKIDEN EISHIN RYU department, iaido, iaijutsu school of Sekiguchi Takaaki Komei – 21st master.
